Sustainability
I'm as wild about the environment as I am about the animals that call our Earth home. That's why I've embarked on an eco-adventure to reduce my business' footprint.
My commitment is crystal clear: I've pledged to use recycled, sustainable, and eco-friendly products throughout my store. Why? Because I believe that even small steps can create big waves of change.
How My Products are Shipped
Let's talk about how I ship your goodies with an eco-friendly twist!
I take my commitment to sustainability seriously, and almost all of my packaging materials are planet-friendly - with biodegradable, compostable, recycled, or recyclable.
Here's the scoop on how I package your orders sustainably:
Stickers & Sticker Sheets
Individual stickers typically go au naturel – no extra packaging. However, if you order multiple stickers, they might cozy up together in a recyclable paper envelope.
Sticker sheets are often free spirits too, but if they come with info cards, they will come bagged into biodegradable or compostable cello bags.
As for shipping, your stickers will come snugly nestled with chipboard or recycled cardboard to ensure they arrive safe and sound.
Pins (Enamel, Acrylic, and Wood)
My pins arrive on recyclable backing cards, no plastic bags in sight.
When I send you a pin, they travel in sturdy cardboard boxes or paper-padded mailers, ensuring they stay in shipshape condition during transit.
Small Items
For keychains and lanyards, I go for the eco-friendly option, wrapping them in paper bags.
They then sail off in either a cardboard mailer or kraft mailer, both ready for recycling. You might spot keychains in little cellophane bags – don't worry, these come from our manufacturer, and I reuse them to reduce waste. (Feel free to recycle them at your local grocery store that accepts plastic bags).
Apparel / Print-On-Demand Items
Some of the treasures in our shop are crafted by third-party fulfillment centers, which means I don't have full control over the shipping materials they use. However, I've got some good news – they've been making strides toward using more eco-friendly packaging.
You'll find these specific items marked in the shop, and while they might arrive in cello bags and soft mailers, here's the silver lining – you can recycle them at your local grocery store.
Why do I chose to print via third-party?
Well, it's all about reducing waste and energy consumption. The textile industry is a notorious waste generator, and by partnering with a third-party, my apparel items are made to order.
This means I only produce what's needed, minimizing excess production and waste (and space in my home). Plus, I've selected Bella+Canvas as my t-shirt supplier, a brand renowned for their commitment to sustainable and renewable practices.
Packaging Materials I Use
My commitment to eco-friendly shipping materials runs deep. I'm proud to say that all of the packaging and shipping materials I use are either recyclable, biodegradable, or home compostable.
Plus, I'm all about recycling and repurposing - so I give a second life to packaging materials sent to me. It's a win-win for everyone!
Most orders also come with a Sustainability Info Card that explains how to properly dispose of the packing materials in your order!
Didn't get a card? I have a handy online guide to help too!
