Shipping info

All orders are shipped from the United States via the United States Postal Service (USPS).

Byte Size Treasure is a small business, run by one person - Rew.
Other than items fulfilled by a third-party facility, all other orders are processed, packed, and shipped all by myself.

Please note that orders are subject to a 1-7 day processing period, regardless of shipping method.

RECOMMENDED ORDER DEADLINES
FOR 2022 HOLIDAY SEASON

I can't make any guarantees to get orders to you by the holidays - so the earlier you order, the better your chance of it arriving on time!

  • Domestic USA (First Class): December 13th
  • Domestic USA (Priority Mail): December 16th

  • USA - Alaska/Hawaii (First Class): December 10th
  • USA - Alaska/Hawaii (Priority Mail): December 13th

  • International - Africa + South America: November 28th
  • International - Rest of the World: December 3rd

General Shipping info

Due to an influx of orders and the ongoing pandemic, I am only dropping orders at the post office 1-2 times per week.

Shipping costs are calculated based on the total weight of the items in the order (you'll be able to see the shipping costs before you finish checkout). 

General Shipping Delivery Times:
USA - 3-10 days
Canada - 1-3 weeks
Other Countries - 1-3 months

Almost every bit of my packaging material is eco-friendly - and is biodegradable, recycled and/or recyclable! Make sure to read my Sustainability Promise page for more information!

Holiday shipping deadlines

Looking to buy presents for the holidays? Use these dates as guidelines for delivery - due to COVID19 and USPS delays, these dates are not guaranteed. 

third-party item fulfillment times:

Ordering apparel, mugs, or blankets?
These items have a slightly longer processing time as they are printed on-demand from a fulfillment company and typically ship via USPS Priority Mail, but sometimes UPS or DHL.

As of December 1st, 2022 the current production time for these items are:

  • Apparel & Tote Bags: 2-5 business days
  • Coffee Mugs: 2-5 business days
  • Throw Blankets & Beach Towels: 2-5 business days

Domestic (USA) shipping:

USPS First Class Mail
First Class mail is the cheapest and most reliable shipping method for items under 1lb.
Typical delivery time is 3-5 business days. 

USPS Priority Mail
Priority Mail is a faster option than First Class and is required for any orders that weigh over 1lb.
Typical delivery time is 1-3 business days.

Both of these options come with tracking numbers.
You will get an emailed shipping notification when your order is shipped and the email will include the tracking number.
Delivery estimates are NOT guaranteed and does not include processing time. 

Current tracking updates and transit times are slower than usual during COVID times and especially during holiday rushes. Packages can potentially take up to 4 weeks to arrive.

SHIPPING VIA STAMPS

I offer a flat-rate, letter mail option at checkout for orders with less than 5 flat items (such as stickers & sticker sheets). 

This option is also available to international customers.

PLEASE NOTE:
This shipping option does NOT come with tracking.

international shipping times:

The shipping platform I use typically provides tracking for /most/ countries. However, once your package leaves the USA, it is possible that you may not receive an update until your package is in the hands of your local postal system. 

For some countries, this can be up to 2-3 months after the initial shipment of your order. I cannot guarantee any delivery date of your package. 

If months go by and theres so sign of your package, please get in touch with your local postal carrier. 

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS FEES

International orders may incur customs fees charged by your country upon entry. Byte Size Treasure is not responsible for covering these fees. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. 

Original shipping fees will not be refunded if a package is denied and returned to me due to unpaid customs fees.

Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. 

I will not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" to get around customs charges. It is illegal and puts my business at risk.

Lost Package issues:

Check the estimated shipping times above.

If your order has not arrived after the estimated window & tracking information is unavailable (or is no longer updating):
- Contact your local post office (They are far more qualified to help you than I am.)
- Check with your leasing office, your neighbors, etc

Then reach out to me and I will do my best to help you out. Please note that I do not control the postal system; once an item is dropped off with USPS, its movement is completely out of my hands.

If you believe your package has been stolen or mis-delivered, you will need to get in touch with your local post office and/or the local authorities. I do not offer refunds on lost or stolen packages.

DAMAGED Package or missing items:

Damaged Items:
I do my best to pack items carefully to ensure they arrive safely. If your item arrives damaged, please contact me within one week of delivery - with your order number and photos of the damaged item and packaging.

Missing Items: 
Is the item that is missing a shirt, mug, blanket, or towel? These items are shipped from a third-party fulfillment center and will be shipped separately from the rest of your order. 

I do my absolute best to make sure all of your items get to you - but I am a one-woman show, so mistakes can happen. If you're missing an item not marked as third-party fulfilled product, please contact me within one week of delivery and I’ll fix it!

Where I don't Ship:

I ship worldwide - with a few exceptions (updated February 2023).

This is typically due to the lack of shipping insurance and the high rate of missing packages, especially seen in the following countries: Russia, and other countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States, Argentina, and Mexico.

The USPS also maintains a list of countries that they are not accepting packages for. That list can be found here.

The following countries have implemented new shipping/packaging laws: Germany, Belgium, France, and Austria.
