Tiger Shark

The name ‘tiger’ comes from the dark stripes down their body, which resembles a tiger's pattern. These stripes do fade as the shark matures and can be almost invisible in older adults.

Like their terrestrial namesake, tiger sharks are voracious hunters. Their exceptionally sharp teeth have serrations and a sideways pointing tip, which is excellent at cutting through almost anything.
