File requirements

What we Require:

  • High Quality - at least 300dpi
  • True-to-Size
    (if you are ordering 2" x 2" stickers, your file needs to be 2" x 2" in size)
  • CMYK color profile
  • AI, PDF, JPG, or PSD file format
    (if you send PDF or AI, make sure any fonts are outlined!)
  • Other file formats are accepted (except PNG) but the above formats are the best.
Note: We only accept CMYK files for printing!

Why no PNGs?

PNGs are meant for screens and can only be saved as RGB files.

If you need to send us images with transparencies, please send us PSD, AI, or PDF files!

cmyk color space

Knowing the differences between RGB & CMYK color profiles can help you to understand how color works and how it will affect your art when printed for stickers!

RGB = Screens

RGB stands for Red, Green Blue.

This color mode exists exclusively in screen displays as these colors represent colors in the light spectrum.

Even though its present in all electronic devices, the color elements may vary across systems and models as well as brightness, contrast, and gamma settings.

CMYK = Print

CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (black).

This four-color process exists and colors are limited to what CYMK can combine to make.

Although all printers print in CMYK, the end result may vary depending on models and substrate. (Like using see-through or different colored materials).

The Difference between RGB & CMYK

With CMYK, color intensity is not as flexible as in RGB. It’s just impossible to replicate on ink paper or fabric the same intensity and brightness that a digital display can show.

This means some RGB colors will show up differently when printed in CMYK!

Color Gamut Warning

CMYK files don't guarantee your colors will look like they do on your screen. Some colors are just not possible to print (like highly saturated ones), so please check your colors!

In Photoshop, there is a way to know if the color you're using is safe to print.

With a CMYK file open, if you go to View > Gamut Warning (Ctrl+Shift+Y), it will "gray out" the colors in your file to show what colors are not print-safe (out of the color gamut).

If you open the Color Picker and use the same shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+Y), it will "gray out" colors out of the color gamut within the Color Picker to help you choose colors.

If you are unable to create your own vector cut lines, simply provide us with 2 JPGs:
