What can we do to protect our planet and it’s oceans?

REDUCE:

Buy less, use less. Buy only what you need and use all of what you buy. Walk, bike, or use public transit instead of driving. Turn off lights when you’re not using them. Reduse water waste in your home. Shorter showers, less toilet flushes, turn off water while brushing your teeth.

REFUSE:

Avoid single-serve containers for food and drinks. Store these items at home in reusable and washable containers. Refuse store bags! When you buy items at a store, carry them out a reusable bag. Say NO to plastic straws!

REUSE:

Take along washable cups or travel mugs instead of disposables ones. When you do use disposables like plastic cups, plates, utensils, and plastic food storage bags, don't throw them away! Wash and reuse them—most of them will last for a long time with many uses.

RECYCLE:

Don’t just toss everything in the trash! Here are things you can recycle: Aluminum Cans, Metal, Glass, Plastic Bottles, Cardboard, Paper, Electronic Equipment, Magazines, Plastic Bags, Yard Waste

REMOVE:

Avoid single-serve containers for food and drinks. Store these items at home in reusable and washable containers. Refuse store bags! When you buy items at a store, carry them out a reusable bag. Say NO to plastic straws!

REPLENISH:

Plant a tree. Plant a garden to grow your own food. Make a compost pile of your biodegradable waste (great to add to soil to help plants grow!)

for the future of our Mother Earth, its oceans, and all life on this planet,

LET’S ACT LIKE EVERY DAY IS EARTH DAY!
